I am looking for a male actor between the ages 20 and 35 to star in a "sit-com."
The show will not necessarily be a sit-com in the traditional sense as it will not be jokes and one liners it will simply be a show in which stuff happens and hopefully the audience finds something to laugh at. Skeletal scripts will be written for each episode and improvisation will fill in the missing links.
The show is about a normal serious, hardworking, and often stressed adult male who lives in a house with an adult male roommate who is a hipster-doofus who is laid back and works out of the home. Each episode always begins with the serious roommate coming home from work on Friday evening and finding something the hipster-doofus has done during the day (left a mess, bought an un-housebroken adult dog, and so on). The serious roommate owns a house in Mid-Town Omaha where he and his roommate live. The plot evolves out of the friction between the roommates, who do get along, but nonetheless have friction between them. Mostly the show revolves around the serious roommate becoming more stressed about something the hipster-doofus has done and the hipster-doofus not realizing that what he has done actualy is annoying.
I would like to produce an initial set of 6 episodes in Hi-Def with 6.1 surround DTS HD-MA on Blu-ray and Anamorphic Standard Definition with 6.1 Surround DTS ES on DVD. I own all the equipment and have all the knowledge to shoot and edit the show, I simply need an actor who wants to play the part of the hipster-doofus. Shooting can take place any time (24 hours a day) depending on everyone's availability and schedules can be worked around.
YouTube will be employed as an initial source of marketing. We will branch out and use other forms of more traditional sources as well. All profits will be split equally amongst all parties involved. The crew will be small so each person's percentage will be higher than otherwise.
