| Job Title: Video Data Center Supervisor-Manhattan |
| Description |
Responsible for the quality, quantity and efficiency of production in the Video Data Center (VDC), Quality Control (QC) and Encoding departments.
• Schedule jobs and resources for VDC, QC and Encoding departments.
• Operate all video tape recording systems including VTR’s such as: HDSR, HDCAM, D5, DV Cam, Digital Betacam, DVD, BetaSP, ¾” and ½” formats.
• Operate Video Data Center equipment, including DVS, Clipster, DoReMi and Luther colorstream system, in an efficient and effective manner to satisfy client’s requirements and meet Deluxe’s high technical standards.
• Supervise technicians in VDC, QC and Encoding.
• Quantity: Maximize production output by reviewing current work flow and efficiency of deliverables, communicating with technicians, engineers and project managers new technologies to keep the competitive edge and meet production demands.
• Efficiency: Maintain constant dialogue with technicians, engineers, and supervisors, to make sure equipment is being utilized and scheduled efficiently.
• Direct the shift supervisors and operators with regards to their shifts.
o Oversee performance reviews or issues
o Approve their plans for covering vacations and sick time
o Review their recommendations to solve capacity issues
• Continually review with the Operations Manager the progress towards the goals for quality, quantity and efficiency and make recommendations.
• Responsible for prioritizing all jobs going through the VDC, working with Project and Account Managers to meet their deadlines.
• Key contact for Project Managers, Sales, and Account Managers as a resource for information and solutions for deliverables.
• Responsible for monitoring tape stock and ordering all VDC supplies.
• Maintain and foster positive relationships with clients and staff.
• Maintain the best possible work environment, including identifying informing engineering and support staff of any technical errors as well as suggesting improvements and/or upgrades.
• May be required to attend pre-production meetings with clients and staff.
• Adhere to Deluxe’s Security regarding vaulting materials in safe and secure environment relating to piracy and unauthorized duplications.

| Job Requirements |
In-depth knowledge of high-end services, ImageFIT, ImagePlus, DRT, Teranex, DolbyE and HD equipment
• Familiar with operation of SD & HD videotape equipment |
